2026 Student Intensive
Cost: $20 SACLP Members | $30 Non-Members
Location: Baylor University in Waco, Texas
When: Friday, 10/2 from 10am-1pm
Southern ACLP is offering a 3-hour intensive designed specifically for pre-internship child life students. This opportunity is ideal for students who are actively applying for child life internships, as well as those who plan to apply in the future. The intensive will cover key topics including professionalism and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs), with the majority of the session dedicated to child life internship interview preparation and practice. Students will participate in mock interview questions and receive real-time feedback from certified child life specialists.
To ensure that every student has meaningful opportunities to participate and receive individualized feedback, space will be limited. Spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and, at this time, the intensive will be offered in person only. Students should come prepared to actively engage in interview practice covering a variety of question types, including:
Child development questions
Scenario-based questions
General interview questions
Each question has been selected to provide students with practical interview experience that closely reflects the types of questions they may encounter during the child life internship application and interview process.
This intensive is an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen interview skills, and receive supportive, professional feedback from experienced child life specialists before entering the internship interview process.
